- I'm suffering from an attack of PET nostalgia. The PET was the first machine
- I ever computed on, and all my early programming experiments and projects,
- as well as most of the PET utilities etc. that I had then, are on a bunch of
- 8050-format disks. I haven't even seen an 8050-compatible disk drive in a
- decade.
-
- I recently posted a message like this one in a local forsale newsgroup, and
- what happened? Someone gave me a PET 4016 and a MSD SD2 disk drive!
- Wonderful! I can run all the stuff that I have on 4040 format disks
- again. This makes me want to access the 8050-format ones all the more.
-
- So, this time with an Ontario-wide distribution, does anyone out there have
- an 8050? Please, please let me use it to copy the stuff off those disks
- onto 4040-format ones.
